(Dan-Why is this an issue?) You can connect your LED signboard, using either a null modem/cross-over cable or a standard straight-through telephone cable. If a computer is directly connected, via comm port, to a device, such as a LED signboard, the transmit pin of the comm port needs to be connected to the receive pin of the LED signboard, and the transmit-pin from the LED signboard needs to be connected to the receive-pin of the comm port. We supply a null modem/cross-over cable with the LED signboard. If you choose to use a standard straight-through telephone cable instead of the supplied cable, make the following adjustments to the SignPrinter interface: a) Power down the unit. b) Take the two screws out of the bottom of the unit and open the unit making sure NOT to rip the strobe wires. c) Locate a three-pin jumper near the center rear of the unit marked “LED Sign”. d) One jumper is between pins 1 and 2, move this to jump pins 2 and 3. e) The other jumper is between pins 2 and 3, m
