Drilling hole in tiles is not as scary as it sounds and adhesive wil not do the job. I use an ordinary masonry drill, but NOT with drill on the hammer setting. Cover the bit you are going to drill with masking tape otherwise the it will skid around on the hard glassy surface and scratch it horribly. Let the drill do the work and do not press too hard. It will be quite slow going until you have got through the glaze, then it will go fairly quickly. Make sure you have a new high quality (means fairly expensive) drill bit. Afterwards use a standard wall plug (I have found the Rawlplug Uno very good) and off you go. If you are really nervous about drilling a tile, get a spare one from somewhere (any old tile will do) and practise drilling a few holes in that first. It will help you learn what is possible and make you feel a bit more confident when you come to the real thing. Good luck Aine.
