Should I use gloss or matte paper stock for my childrens book?

This is up to you, one is not better than the other. Each is a coated sheet, the gloss just has more shine to it (and it is a little bit thinner than the same weight is in matte). The majority of our childrens books are done on matte, but the choice is yours.
