It is always advantageous to have a 1/2 or full bath on the entry floor. We tried to make a 1/2 bath in our entry closet but found that the vent pipe to the chimney ran up in one corner and we couldn’t put anything in there but a mini toilet good for a child not an adult so we nixed the idea. Instead we opted to remove some kitchen cabinets and moved the fridge to make a real powder room. We really appreciate the extra 1/2 bath. Keep us informed as to your decision and lots of luck.
