Should I switch my phone service to Vonage or Ooma?
vonage – free SIP adapter (universally accepted VoIP standard) and $25 per month for unlimited calling to 60 countries… ooma – $250 cost for proprietary P2P adapter – lifetime free service within US/CAN — TOS recently updated, many features removed from the free version, such as voice mail…. paid version price increased from $100/year to $120/year Vonage has been around for quite a long time, they are one of the pioneer VoIP companies, and have survived lawsuits brought against them by Verizon… and continue to be successful… i have seen some negative reviews, but when you are in business for as long as them, and have a customer base the size that they do, you are bound to have a few customer complaints… ooma continues to get good reviews from its customers… however, it is a younger company, and has a smaller customer base, so it has not had its chance to get too much negative publicity… while they did just release a new device, the telo, the cracks may be starting to for
