Should I stay at a cal state university or transfer to a nursing school?

I went to Cal State Northridge (two decades ago.) Stay in school and take as many science classes as you can. Take every class associated with nursing and medicine that you can take, which is usually everything but Pharmacology and nursing science. You will have to get a CNA license before your R.N. (law in California), that’s something you can do in the summer and then work part-time. Don’t work your way up at your age. Get a B.S. in a science and then a B.S.N. You will be sorry if you don’t get your bachelors later. Savor this opportunity to learn. In addition, who knows, with enough science you might want to look into being a physician’s assistant which pays more. I got a B.A., had fun, made a lot of money in public relations, and now in my mid-forties am pursuing nursing. For me, an AA makes sense. Not for you. Don’t give up.
