Should i sign up for the Royal Navy?

0

Just to say that the waiting time for the Royal Navy ratings is an average of 18 months or more. The Navy is a big commitment and you must remember the limitations of having to serve your time within the rules depending on your branch after training so if you do get bored easily this may be a consideration (1). If you want to avoid such a long wait, have you thought about the RAF or the Army again?. I know the RAF have massive cuts but they do have some interesting jobs open at the moment. (2) Anyway, my suggestion is that you go down to your local careers office and chat with the adviser about your options and life in the Navy. Moreover, you MAY have more luck gaining answers with people from the Navy on the Navy Network from ARRSE (unofficial military forums) (3) If you choose to apply then good luck with your application!
