Should i remove the packaging and price tag when giving gifts?
The proper etiquette for gift giving is to ONLY cut off the little part of the price tag with the price, but leave the rest of the tag on. Keeping the rest of the tag on will make it possible for her to exchange it. Without the tag, even though she’ll have the gift receipt, it can make it very difficult to bring back to the store. The packaging is up to you. As long as it has the tag with the price part cut off, you will be in good shape. If you think the packaging makes it look tacky, then remove the packaging and wrap it neatly in colored tissue paper instead.
