Should I read Lovely Bones or Speak for my summer reading project?

I have read both and thouroughly enjoyed both. However…I think Lovely bones is not only a better written novel, but it has more depth and is more of a mature story. I don’t think I would enjoy any other books “like” the lovely bones…I think it is a one of a kind and enjoyed by most. Speak can easily be copied and made into a book along the same lines that would be just as good.
