Should I let my 20 year old son borrow my boat, what can I do.?

If you don’t want to let him borrow it but don’t want to tell him no, then go outside and sabotage the boat in a way that you can easily fix it. Then tell him you’ll let him borrow it, take him outside to go over a few things and “make sure it will start”. Uh oh…it won’t start. Sorry son. Guess you can pay to get her “fixed” or it’ll have to wait ’till another day! Otherwise, make darn sure he is capable and responsible enough to operate it. My rule of thumb: I don’t borrow anything from anyone unless I can afford to fix it if I break it! An old friend told me once: There are 3 things I do not share: my wife, my truck, and my boat. Anything else and you can help yourself!
