Should i have made a different decision?

So here’s the thing. You’re young and your whole life is ahead of you. The most important thing is to make good choices every day. Choices that you feel pround of. Choices that keep you alive. A person’s character develops with every decision that he makes, whether it’s who to hang out with, where to go on vacation, what to say, or what to post. However, being an officer provides ‘leadership’ experience. Education is valued in our society, so I’d say those two things would serve you better than standing guard somewhere, or becoming an expert in a narrow specialty field. At your age, why not do both?
