Should i have background music playing during the wedding ceremony?

I think this is a wonderful idea as long as it is a soft tune and quiet enough for the wedding guests to hear the officiant and your vows I think it will be almost like a movie! Whichever calms you the best would be helpful and beneficial to yourself so you can get through your wedding without the feeling of being stared at.

No, one does not have background music played for the entire ceremony. http://www.sfstrings.com/repertoireweddi… You may need a prelude, a processional, a recessional. You may need music for special moments in between (lighting a candle, Communion, a solo, etc.). But you do not need music the entire time, sorry.

The entire focus needs to be on the exchange of the wedding vows….background music no matter how soft will be a distraction so no, no background music during the actual ceremony. This is the real deal, Hon, NOT some schmaltzy tear jerker scene from a soap opera wedding.
