Should i have a copper coil fitted?

0

I would give it serious consideration. I had a copper coil fitted around 5 years ago and I had terrible heavy periods that lasted a full 10 days – just a couple of days after it had finished you would be ovulating again. My periods were also really painful and I had a constant tummy ache all month. They tell you that these symptons ease off but for me they didn’t. I also started to IBS which I had never experienced in my life. Eventually, I decided to have it removed – my periods now last just a couple of days, and the IBS stopped instantly. By all means give it a go because some people do get on with it. The other option is a marina coil but this has hormones in it – to me that was what I was trying to avoid so this was not an option. It is completely pain free to have it removed but is a little painful to have it implanted – I had to be sedated in the end. I did some reasearch later and found on the internet that there was a lot of women who reported IBS with the coil – interesting.
