Should I Go to a Dermatologist Or a General Practice Doctor For Skin Tag Removal?
There is no doubt that many people suffer from this pesky problem, and many would really love to know where they should go for skin tag removal. Would it be best to just have them removed by your regular general practice physician (GP) or should you bite the bullet and spend the extra bucks to go to a specialist like a dermatologist? The fact is, it usually depends on your insurance company and what they will allow. I used to have an insurance policy where I would have to go to my regular doctor and get a referral to any specialists, but in the past years that has changed. Now I can pretty much just call up and make an appointment wherever I want to without going to the GP first, which is really great. Keep in mind though that you will want to check with your insurance provider first to see if they cover skin tag removal procedures.
