Should I go directly to the Infertility Specialist or stick with my first mind and try Clomid first?
I don’t think your GYN is just trying to shoo you off. Most GYNs and even OBs do not have the expertise to monitor infertility. I have the best OB/GYN but she is the first to admit that she is not an expert on infertility and monitoring early pregnancy hormone levels. I have 1 son (conceived the old fashioned way but needed hormone monitoring during 1st 8 wks). Currently we have been trying for almost 2 years and are now seeing a fertility doctor. I too have PCOS and am not ovulating regularly. I highly recommend going to the fertility doctor. They know what they’re doing and are current on the research. I go for my first IUI Wednesday. They have done a great job setting up my medication and monitoring. I don’t know what area you live in but the clinic is Shady Grove Fertility Center. They have several offices. Also don’t wait too long. You are only 30 but you don’t want to waste too much time conceiving especially if you think you want more than one. I had my son at 35 now I’m 39 and
