Should i get rid of my cat also is having a cat dangerous during pregnancy?
Cats are not dangerous in any way during pregnancy! Their feces is the only thing that causes some concern to women while pregnant. It’s possible to get an infection from something called toxoplasmosis. If you’ve been around cats all your life, you’re probably already immune to it. Even if you haven’t been around cats all your life, all you have to do is ask someone else to scoop the cat’s litter box if you’re worried. The infection can really only occur if you have eaten something that has come in contact with the cat’s feces. You don’t need to get rid of your cat because you’re pregnant… but if the cat is more of a hassle than a blessing… well, that’s a different story. That choice will have to be completely up to you.
