Should I get a lift-kit for my Chevy s-10 or lower it a bit?
As a person who spent some time in the Auto Sales Industry for a short time I can tell you by first hand experience that that type of modification only decreases the trade-in value of the vehicle it’s done to. If you plan on driving that truck until it drops, picking it up again and driving some MORE, then go ahead and modify away!!! How you modify will be dictated by what you do with your truck. If you do nothing but street driving with absolutely NO hauling of ANY cargo what-so-ever, then lower it. However, if you do some off roading lowering simply is NOT feasible and a lift-kit can come in *handy*! Just be warned that lifting your truck will also raise its center of gravity making it a bit easier to flip over!!! BUT, if you plan on trading it in some day for something different/better, then you’re $$$ ahead by leaving it alone. EDIT: As usual ppl beat me to the submit button. 😐 One mentioned saving your money for ga$…GOOD IDEA!!! Another mentioned having to spend even MORE money
