Should I get a kitten with cerebellar ataxia?
This disorder can be as mild as a lack of balance or as severe as prolonged periods of paralysis. Since there is no cure for it and likely minimally effective treatment you are looking at a pet that may require extensive veterinary intervention. I am not going to tell you that you should not adopt this kitten but I am under the personal opinion that to undertake an animal that you know will have severe health issues is irresponsible unless you have an unlimited supply of money and time to invest in it. If you do decide to adopt it be prepared for the possibility that there may come a time that this cat will be unable to use a litter box, eat on its own, etc.
