Should i get a glock 23 or a sig p229 40 cal?
I really like both platforms. I carry a SiG P220 everyday but I have owned a GLOCK as well. The GLOCK 23 is slightly smaller and weighs about an ounce less when loaded. I find the GLOCK recoil the easiest to manage in the small frames, in the large i.e .45 cal G21 it is worse because my hand does not fit the gun very well. Both brands I have found to be accurate. Some folk knock the GLOCK trigger but I like it but for me the SiG is slightly better. One other thing the GLOCK has the same trigger pull every time. The SiG is double action on the first and single action (unless decocked) on all subsequent rounds. So you have to decide if the transition from DA to SA will be a problem for you. The GLOCK has a one round advantage in the magazine 13 to 12. If you have a shooting range near you where you can try out different platforms I’d suggest you run a few 100 rounds through each. Even if you do not choose the “best” for you this time you can always get almost all of your money out of the
