Should I get a Department Sponsored Visitor account or should I use UAPublic?
UAPublic is an unsecured wireless network for visitors to the University who are working with University employees for short visits or projects (on the order of a week or two, give or take). UAPublic provides the same bandwidth, NO encryption, and features as UAWiFi. If you are visiting the University for a conference or meeting, or perhaps you are a vendor working with a University department, this is probably the network for you. Your sponsor will need to renew your access every twenty days, so if you are visiting for an extended period of time you should obtain a Department Sponsored Visitor Account and use UAWiFi instead.
