You should suspend the use of these products at home for 2-3 days before and after each treatment. Also products that contain acids at higher levels and strengths to affect an immediate peel be avoided for seven days before and after microdermabrasion. If you have been using tretionols or retinols continuously for the preceding 6 months and are having a series of weekly microdermations, then ideally you will suspend usage of these products and one month (during the initial series).
