Should I continue to study counselling as a profession or major in psychology which is much broader.?

I’d go for a bachelor’s degree in pure counselling/ A bachelors degree in psychology with a counselling major is really a general degree and isnt really enough to secure a job, its merely a step on the way towards a doctorate or a masters degree. The bachelor of pure counselling would give you more practical experience in counselling than the psychology major. Furthermore, it also appears that youve already set on doing counselling. Following the psychology path would have been an option if you werent sure of what area of psychology you were set on doing.
