Should I change from being a Roman Catholic to Lutheran/ Protestant?
It seems to me that you don’t need either the Catholic Church or the Lutheran Church. It looks as if you are busy deciding for yourself which doctrines and practices to keep and which ones to discard. You are the “pope” of your very own “marion o: Church. Sure, not having celibacy and allowing woman priests might seem reasonable – but it’s only reasonable according to human Wisdom. What’s human wisdom compared to God’s wisdom. I don’t have a Bible on my at the moment but the Book of Pslams has a lot to say about the comparison of man’s wisdom compared to God. “Man’s wisdom is but foolish to God” and something else that goes like, “The foolishness of God is Wisdom to man.” The point is, God knows better than we do and, the Truth is, sometimes we’re not going to understand everything God is asking us to do, or not depending on the case. Either way, the True follower of God is going to go along with God’s plan, upholding Dogma that remains, at least for now, misunderstood. In time, if you
It is only in the Catholic Church where the fullness of Truth can be found. It is only the Eucharist that fulfills the commandments and promises of Christ: I am with you always, even unto the end of the age. I will not leave you orphaned. Where two or more are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst. If you hear my words, and observe all that I have taught, my heavenly Father and I will abide in you, and whatsoever you ask I will do. I am the bread of life. Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you will not have life within you. This is my body, this is my blood, take and eat it.. do this in rememberance of me. It is only the Catholic Church that has a valid priesthood, “in the order of Melchezidek,” and it is only a catholic priest that can validly consecrate the bread and wine. It is only in the Catholic Church where one can transcend time, and be truly present at Calvary, and be among the faithful disciples. All other churches look for ways that Jesus and God the Father
I read about and explored the foundations of Christianity before reverting back to Catholicism. In order for me to be a Catholic, I had to leave the Church and learn for myself what I was never taught. I attended Pentecostal, Baptist, Lutheran, non-denominational, Episcopal, etc. I came back the the RC Church, left again, then came back and stayed and have considered myself a reverted Catholic since 2001. I am sure many people have had this experience. I never recommend blindly following a religion just because you were raised in it.
