Should I buy Final Fantasy 13 or Mass Effect 2?
Apparently none of these people have actually bothered to play either game. Mass Effect is quite simply a better RPG in virtually every respect. That said, you don’t buy a final fantasy game because you want to play a good RPG, you buy a final fantasy game because you want to watch a cool quasi-interactive movie and play a combat mini game. Final fantasy was always pretty much on rails, its just that Square has finally done away with the pretense that you are actually playing an RPG. At any rate, if you want to play a better game, get Mass Effect, if you want to watch a movie get Final Fantasy. I will issue this warning though, FF13 is really not the best game in the series, even as a quasi-interactive movie.
