Should i buy a mp5 or a kalashnikov airsoft rifle?
Personally, I’d recommend the MP5. It’s smaller, lighter, has nicer sights, and is easier to mount optics on. A lot of people say the AK47, because it’s longer barreled so more accurate, and shoots further. Both of these are rubbish. While it’s true for a real gun, airsoft guns have no recoil, so it isn’t necessary to have a heavier gun. All calibres are the same, so an assault rifle won’t have more power- in fact with the same spring it’ll have less, as the barrel slows the bb down a bit. Longer barrels also contribute very little to accuracy- the firing mechanism in an airsoft gun doesn’t produce any heat, and doesn’t produce enough energy to swage and obturate the bb, so you can’t rifle an airsoft barrel, meaning you’ll barely notice a difference in accuracy between a rifle and a pistol, let alone a SMG and a rifle. Obviously it also depends on what brand you buy, but in terms of the outer shell, the mp5s better suited to airsoft.
