Should I Buy A Cockatiel Or A African Gray..?
Ok, we used to have an African Gray when I was very little, and he bit my finger and made me bleed once, OWWW! But we had to give him to a friend because we didn’t have time to play with him all the time. I have two cockatiels now and they are much smaller, one of them we bought with a group of others that we have given away to other homes, and the other one was the first one of their eggs that hatched!She was our baby!BUT, they were protective of the baby bird yet they were hurting her, they were picking at the veins in her neck because they looked like worms and she didn’t have any feathers yet to cover them. We hand fed her from then on, and she was very attached to us, but she isn’t so much anymore. She has eggs of her own now and she hisses at us a lot. So even though we hand fed her, she didn’t end up being very attached to us at all, so you might have to spend a lot of time with the bird to keep them happy.
