I prefer the iBooks but there are a few other things to consider. Yes, the PowerBooks have more powerful processors. And they are also made of aluminum but they dent very easily. iBooks do not dent but if you are rough with it can scratch (which is better than getting dents in the case if you ask me). Apple has also introduced some new “high resolution” display technology which has caused annoying lines to appear on some displays. Another question you should ask yourself is do you want to buy one now or wait for the Intel based iBooks or PowerBooks. The Intel based Apple laptops, provided they use the Pentium M in it will feature longer battery life and better performance when running native OSX x86 applications. Older PowerPC (OSX applications only) software will be translated in almost real time by using Rosetta.
