Even if you have a program, however, it is important that you keep it updated, as new viruses come out all the time. Most companies update their virus data files at least every week. Norton uses its LiveUpdate to make sure it has the latest virus definitions. McAfee users can update to the latest Dat files from the Update button in VirusScan Central. Remember, you arent protected against any viruses that have come out since you last updated.
