First off I am against censorship in all its forms and the 1st amendment is suppose to protect us from regulation and book banning. I think that anyone who supports banning this book is against banning in general as well at the 1st amendment and our constitution. I read this book when I was 12 and even over a decade latter I think it is both a classic and important book. Just because it uses unsavory terms doesn’t mean that it is not valid. We are a culture that tries to get rid of things that make us uncomfortable. But the book shows us just how things were at a period of time. And that is something that everyone needs to deal with. I understand that some people find this book offensive but they need to look beyond the words and realize how we can actually learn from it. Obviously you would want to educate students on how the “N” word is offensive and that they shouldn’t use it but also this was how black Americans use to and sometimes still are treated. But if we ban this book why no
