Should girls be able to play football with males in the highest levels?
My opinion is that, on the playing field, if a woman has the physical capacity to play, then she should. At the pro and big time college level, the coaches and staff would tend to play the larger, stronger athletes, so, it would limit the number of women who COULD play at that level, but not entirely elimintate their chances. Many of us long time football fans fondly recall the talent and exploits of Mercury Morris, who was an outstanding pro player who, if I recall, stood only about five foot eight, or ten. From a practical standpoint, especially at the high school and even younger levels, the issue of locker room exposure and behavior could cause real problems. Even if the players could adjust, there are very few parents of, say, a fourteen year old girl or boy who would stand for co-ed showers and locker rooms.
