Should Gaza declare itself an independent Palestinian State?
XMLTD raises the obvious objection and these are considerations that have evidently prevented the Gaza from going indie. But the logic doesn’t hold up. There isn’t going to be any reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas; that’s just reality. The Gaza is the only piece of historical Palestine not under direct occupation and they should seize the opportunity to declare themselves the Palestinian State of Gaza. If and when the WB gets a democratic government they can always enter into a union. Same goes for the rest of Palestine.
Egypt must be consulted in such a thing the approval of Egypt would give Gaza open way to the world the fear that Egypt would act against such a thing would lead to a very difficult situation as well relation between them will turn to a similar relation as that of Iraq and Kuwait THe problem is the Egyptian role is not so clear and sharp may i say involved instead of consulted
