Should Gary McKinnon being extradited?
Absolutely Not! Our extradition agreement with the US is horribly flawed and no government worthy of any respect should have agreed to it. There has to be a burden of proof before the US will extradite to the UK whereas there need only be a reasonable suspicion for the UK to extradite to the US, entirely in line with our petty, dishonest British politicians desire to ensure we have a British Police State, an objective eagerly sought by every Home Secretary since Michael Howerd (and he a barrister!). In this case that is besides the point as Gary McKinnon has admitted his guilt while denying the charges of causing damage. And note that the ‘damage’ is the cost of improving security, some downtime while the ‘holes’ were plugged and the necessity to change all the users’ access and passwords.
