Should freedom of speech protect racists?

If you mean the speech of racists, then yes. Contrariwise, banning all racist speech leads to the exceptionally difficult problem of defining what is and isn’t racist speech. And loose definitions could lead to serious and significant abuses of speech laws by the government, the rich and powerful interest groups.

FOS protects black racists in this country every day, but does not protect whites. In my state, a racist black can call whites, honky, white devil, cracker and any other thing they want and have no problems. However, if a white calls a black ANY name, it is a second degree felony, punishable by 3-5 years in prison. Now we have a racist black president that won’t prosecute blacks for any federal crimes what-so-ever.
