Should fifth-year students be permitted to serve on Student Government?

0

Summary: My SGA is debating whether or not to change our By-Laws to exclude 5th year “super seniors” from running in general elections. Fitchburg State College is a 4 year institution and we think it’s only fair that you’re allowed to run only if you’re going to be going into your forth year of less. We are quite torn with this as of now. We do however have a clause that would allow 5th year ‘super seniors’ to fill vacant positions after elections are completed. Some of us feel this way because we want to protect the 4th year students and we think it is fair that way. Any help would be much appreciated.
