Should FhG enforce their patents on MP3?
This is a moral question, not a legal one. Different people have different opinions. The coder I developed at the Media Lab has been released into the public domain, at my request. On the other hand, the Media Lab is part of a university, not a for-profit endeavor. If you want to use MP3 to steal copyrighted music, it’s not clear to me that you’re in much of a position to make moral judgments on others.
