Should every sane and non-criminal adult have access to a gun?
Define sane. Because I know very few people who would be considered completely level after a psychiatric evaluation. I’ve used guns. I’ve been in the military and fired handguns, automatic rifles and machine guns. I grew up on a hunting estate. I’ve fired .237 and .303 rifles as well as .177 and .22 air rifles. And you know what? It’s just the same every time you fire it. It’s nothing more than a bit of metal that goes bang. It does not give me a raging hard on like it seems to do to some people… if their answers on here are anything to go by. People should not have guns. If the police in this country were allowed to have balls, I’d have them going around door to door on every single place suspected of having weapons without reasonable cause with armed units. Confiscate any and all weapons found and throw the idiot owning them into jail. Aside from illegally owning a weapon, you could probably argue intent to use for criminal activities to a charge sheet.
