Should elective cesareans become a birth right?

Of course we all have rights, but with a c section there is a higher risk of a list of issues. So no I do not think so. I have yet to figure out why anyone would chose to have a c section over a natural birth. I can’t have a natural birth and can only have c sections b/c of medical reasons, and it’s a bummer. Personally not being able to have my baby natural in a way makes me feel like a failure. I know I’m not, but it’s always in the back of my mind. Not something I dwell on at all, just showing my point. And recovery from vaginal birth is so much quicker and less painful I’m sure.
