Should Elderly Drivers be required to reapply for their drivers licence more often.?

YES! I live in Southern Florida, the place where a good portion of America’s eldery go to keep warm, and I cannot even begin to count the number of times I’ve almost been hit by an elderly driver. They pull right out in front of you, change lanes without looking or even putting a blinker on, and drive dangerously under the speed limit (I’m not exaggerating). What’s worse is that most of the time when I’m about to be rammed into I blare my horn… it doesn’t even phase them. They just keep on going in the direction they were originally heading. When I pull up along side them, they’re just looking straight ahead, mouth agape, like nothing even happened. Of course, not ALL elderly drivers are terrible, but an alarming number are. Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, here’s a link that will probably help you out: http://www-fars.nhtsa.dot.gov/Main/index… Just look around, I’m sure they’ll show accident statis
