For grades K-12, the LEP Student Enrollment System must report the same number of limited English proficient students as are reported in the Application for State School Aid (ASSA). Thus, it is important that the individual(s) collecting and entering the data for both reports collaborate to assure accuracy in the count. However, since the LEP Student Enrollment Tracking System now includes special education and preschool students, the total number of LEP students in some districts will vary in the two reports.
