Should Disney Make a New Version of the “Main Street Electrical Parade”?
the “Main Street Electrical Parade”, will be making a return to Disneyland. The parade which was recently being held each night in Disneyland’s beleaguered sister park, Disney California adventure, was recently shipped to Walt Disney World for nightly parade runs in the summer of 2010. The parade, which began entertaining audiences in early 1970s at Disneyland, utilizes a number of parade floats with synchronized blinking lights and music. Over the years a number of floats of been added in order to publicize recent Disney movies such as “Pete’s Dragon” and the recently created straight to DVD line of Tinker Bell movies. Though for years the parade was known as the “Main Street Electrical Parade” and was featured in Disneyland, it was recently moved over to Disney California Adventure in order to stimulate interest in the park and provide a much needed reason for guests to visit the park at night. Due to its popularity, the parade was shipped over to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando Florida
