Should Disney Channel UK merge with the US operations?
I don’t know about you guys, but I seriously think Disney Channel UK needs to merge with the US operations. Disney UK is a bit of a mess at the moment. The graphics are a mish-mash between the well made US ones and the poorly made UK attempt. None of the the specials that are on the US network are broadcast on the UK channel. Also, the UK schedules are all over the place, with many shows on at silly times, and sometimes premiere in the UK months after the US (even though it’s all original shows and series, which means licensing is not an issue). I’m not saying that the playout of the UK channel should be moved to the states, but it would make sence for the US station manager to take over the UK station. I’ve seen the US station on numerous occasions and I have to say it’s a much higher standard than the UK channel.
