Should College Football players be given a cash stipend?

0

I don’t think college football players should get paid to play. Many athletes get “paid” by getting partial or full scholarships to play for a particular university. They don’t see the money, per say, but getting much of their tuition paid for is in essence, getting paid. Any athlete that gets paid is a professional and from what I last remember, college athletes are not professional. If a player is good enough to make the National Football League, he will make more money in a year or two than the average american will make in probably 20 years. Once college football players start making money to play the game, that’s when I stop watching it. I get the feeling that if they get paid a lot of the enthusiasm will be lost and much of the enjoyment of watching college athletes will be gone.
