Poll: Should CO Enact Sales Tax Holiday? Wednesday August 5, 2009Sales tax holidays have caught on in several states to promote back-to-school shopping. According to the Federation of Tax Administrators, 17 states have enacted sales tax holidays for 2009. In the West, both New Mexico and Texas offer sales tax holidays to spur shoppers in August.
