Should clients with a CPA (Care Program Approach) be included within the category of Mental Health for this indicator?
CPA is a specialist domain of a UAP it should be compatible with the current definition of UAP. CPA should therefore be included within this indicator. Q: “This indicator is only concerned with those new care plans for new clients that were completed during the year.” Can you specify what a new client is in these circumstances please. A) A brand new client, never heard of before coming to the department – I would say obviously yes. B) A client who has come to the Dep on 1st April, received non reviewable equipment, and their involvment then ceased (closed) , then comes back in Sept and is assessed for more equipment and then the case is closed. Then comes back in Feb and is assessed for Home care and remains an open case with a revewable care plan. Is this one care plan, two or three?
