Yes, providers should continue to submit their requests online for an almost immediate response. The system will search for a PCM or MTF referral within 180 days before generating a new referral or authorization. Registered users of www.triwest.com can check the status of their requests online. All active duty Service members must always receive a referral from their PCM before seeking care outside an MTF, except for emergencies.
