Should children be banned from reading books with homosexual content at a bookfair?
The company Scholastic says the book, “Love ya Bunches” is banned from Scholastic school book fairs because it contains offensive language and same-sex parents of one of the main characters, Milla. The company defended its move by suggesting that they are trying to fit with the norms of the various communities that host the fairs. http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/article/CA6703349.html?nid=2413&source=link&rid=2047057997 I think it is absolutely wrong and a travesty for children who are raised in same sex parents household.
