Should certain countries with a certain history detain from international relations and affairs and better stay neutral?
In regard of the actual development and the complete mixed up international world I think it is not good at all if small countries want to take part in this big game in the world. The USA, China, India and Britain are those countries which make the rules in the world. None of these economic and military super-powrs does need any advice nor any kind of support by the rest of the smaller countries. As we just see at the example of Afghanistan, as more countries are involved there, the more problems you have. The Americans and British can settle the Afghanistan-problem by their own and they do not need anyobody else down there. And if there will be a war at Korea we willhave the very same situation. Britain and America will settle the problem together with South Korea and the rest of the world should keep off from such a dangerous conflict. The same it is in regard of Iran or Israel. Europe as a whole perhaps could give a contribution but Europe is that extremely splitted in its political
Looking at countries like Switzerland, Norway or Sweden, they all were acting extremely reasonable by keeping off from foreign troubles. All these countries could save a lot of money in regard of their military forces. Bigger countries have quite different financial and human ressources than smaller countries and bigger countries have completely different interests worldwide than all the smaller countries. Super-powers like Britain and America play in a quite different league their games than other countries and so it is almost suicide if smaller countries want to compete with the super-powers. And also quite important to me seems that the ideas and interests of super-powers and smaller countries are never coincident. Japan has widely different political and economic interests than the USA as well as Germany has completely different interests in Europe than Britain or France. Both countries, Japan as well as Germany have learned their lessons given by history and they should therefore
