No, I would not want to stop Joanna Lumley from helping the Gurkha’s. If there is a cause or purpose that they believe in with a good reason and are prepared to debate the subject they should be more than welcome to engage. However, if a celebrity isn’t prepared to debate or listen they should be shunned. Prime example of this is Paul McCartney; http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/greenpo… When it comes to elections, they should definitely be banned unless they are running for a seat.
