I believe that all drugs should be legal. Prohibition clearly does not work- drugs of all kinds are readily available regardless of legality. The only difference that prohibition makes is that drug users are criminalised. What a person chooses to do privately is up to them, at least in a free society it should be. As an example, the dangers of tobacco are now obvious, and we are all well informed of the risk. There are those that choose to use it despite the risk, and those who choose not to. If drugs such as cannabis were legal, the same would apply. You can find statistics quite readily from other sources so I won’t go into them. Needless to say, cannabis is a very commonly used recreational drug. The effect on the body in the short term is relatively harmless, having never produced a single death in known history.
