Checks for $12,000 each were presented at a noon event held at Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, Florida to the families of Tampa Police Corporal Mike Roberts, who was killed in August during a confrontation with an armed suspect, and Polk County Sergeant Ronnie Brown, who died in September following complications from surgery after being wounded in an altercation with an inmate at South Polk County jail.
